PVT. John Carlyle Jones

Died of Wounds and Buried at Sea
Pvt. Jones was Jerry's comrade. 66 years ago today Jones was wounded and evacuated to the beachhead at Iwo Jima by Jerry and fellow Marines.
The story of what happened is a sobering event.
